My name is Amanda Leah Ng

and I’m glad you’re here

In my work as an Integrative Mind-Body Therapist, I combine my training and experience as a Psychologist and Life Coach to help clients around the world in navigating challenges like anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, and chronic stress—along with the ripple effects these have on their emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing. Together, we work to transform their inner conflicts into clarity, conviction, and lasting change.

But this wasn’t always my path. I began my career in corporate and startup environments across Southeast Asia. Eight years in, I found myself feeling stuck—perpetually anxious, irritable, distracted, and restless. There was a constant inner nagging that made me question my unique purpose and value, and what I was doing day-to-day to serve that.

After a series of personal ups and downs and therapy-aided realizations, I listened to my inner voice and built up the courage to follow its calling into the mental health and wellness space. The journey has since led me to immerse myself in the study and practice of:

  • Psychology & Neuroscience of Mental Health: Applying evidence-based psychological theories and neuroscience research to understand and improve mental wellbeing.

  • Somatics & Trauma-Informed Psychotherapy: Integrating body-based therapeutic techniques and talk therapy to address the physical and emotional impacts of trauma.

  • Positive Psychology & Wellbeing: Drawing on the science of human flourishing, focusing on strengths, resilience, and cultivating positive emotions to enhance life satisfaction, purpose, and long-term wellbeing.

  • Performance-Oriented Coaching: Combining psychological principles with goal-setting and action strategies to improve personal and professional performance.

Qualifications:

  • M.Sc. Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London

  • Specialization Certificate in Positive Psychology, University of Pennsylvania

  • Trauma-Informed Professional Training, Gabor Maté Compassionate Inquiry

  • Associate Certified Coach (ACC), International Coaching Federation (ICF)

  • Certified Life Coach Practitioner, Collective Change Institute (CCI)

  • Yoga Teacher Certification RYT200, Yoga Alliance

  • B.A. Economics (minor in Global Poverty & Practice), UC Berkeley

  • “My time with Amanda has been a life-changing experience.

Though her program is short and contained, Amanda's ability to ask the important questions and her natural empathy and understanding provided the safe space I needed to get to the heart of what mattered to me.

I’ve become more aware of triggers to my mood and overall wellbeing, and have developed an appreciation for how moments in my childhood have shaped me today. Because of this, I can be a lot more thoughtful in my decision making, and more apt to take care of myself first and foremost, something I subconsciously neglect to do at times.

Anyone looking for a down-to-earth, kind and empathetic therapist can't find a better choice than Amanda.”

  • “Amanda’s structure of therapy, where theory is applied to my experiences, has been educational and eye-opening.

For someone who’s been naturally turning to self-help books for a long time, this is a comforting logic to build into my first experience with therapy. I feel a genuine sense of progress after every session. Amanda somehow manages to use very few words and gentle prompts to encourage me to flow from my heart and mind. In the end, it feels like I’ve managed to do a structured self-reflection without feeling stressed talking about heavy things.”

  • “What I loved about Amanda's process was her focus on self-discovery.

She never told me what to think or do, but asked the right questions to helped me arrive at conclusions I had personal conviction over. Every session was action-oriented - we would always end with clear next steps on what I would do differently, and we'd begin the next session checking in on my progress.

Definitely a highlight of an extremely chaotic and uncertain year, and I would recommend Amanda to anyone who's seeking change and clarity in their life.”
